Sitting at home all day in a lockdown situation, watching the news, getting panicked by looking at the number of deaths around the world, managing children, family, etc all at once imposes a lot of stress and pressure on our minds.

Even a negligible change in our body, be it a common cold, a mild normal headache, itchy throat, anything, immediately triggers fear and suspicion, what if I am infected? And the numerous follow-up questions that continue, add to the prevailing distressing emotions, and gradually fear begins to clog our mind.

Relax, calm down!

This sudden new lifestyle could possibly be the culprit that is disturbing your mental peace and stability and not the virus!! Does that ring a bell?!

Have you heard about OCD? Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a mental condition of mental disorder in which a person experiences an uncontrollable urge to perform certain routines repeatedly. Failing to do so, might put them into a serious state of depression. For example, it could be a very simple, silly routine, like washing hands frequently, checking on a locked door several times, counting money, etc.

It might get even worse as one continues to age. Even the habit of going to work, leaving home in a specific time every day for several years, catching the same train, the same job, the same people, same food, etc, this monotony of life, could cause such an intense obsession that even if the person retires, continues to do the same or is unable to overcome the urge to follow the routine. Therefore it is high time that you give equal importance to both physical health and mental health. Stop ignoring minor mental or behavioral changes.

Remember the golden rule, ‘You are your first best friend’, any small change in your own external behavior, or activities will be immediately signaled by the subconscious mind

Considering Including CBD Into Your Routine?

Understand and gain complete awareness before you conclude anything about CBD. Erase the misconceptions about CBD and approach learning about it with an open mind.

The two most popular and well-known cannabinoids found in cannabis are Cannabidiol (CBD) and Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). The latter compound gets one a high. Yes, you got it right until there. Now, know more and learn about what it does to your body and mind.

All mammals including vertebrates and invertebrates are known to have an endocannabinoid system. In the case of humans, this forms the most significant physiological part that contributes to overall health and wellness by supporting various body functions that include the immune, neuro, memory systems, etc.

Organs, immune cells, glands, connective tissues, and the brain all have endocannabinoids and receptors. Thus the endocannabinoid system’s primary focus is to maintain homeostasis in the human body, bringing stability to the internal environment regardless of external environment fluctuations.

In return, they can receive and transport messages which control your memory, mood, and other important biological processes. On the other side, endocannabinoids function best when paired with non-psychoactive cannabinoids. CBD works with the endocannabinoids and ensures higher ECS functionality.

Deficiency in receptors can result in various medical conditions such as Migraines, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, Multiple sclerosis, Slowness in movement, Depression, Serotonin, Low Dopamine levels, etc.
